One of humanity’s deadliest plagues is the belief in white supremacy and the systemic injustices committed in this belief. We see its micro effects through racism and marginalisation, while macro-level effects are seen when institutions such as the United Nations assume universal responsibility and use a skewed understanding of justice, a white perspective, in passing judgment about other countries. The “Black Trail” series represents the traces of leftover years by the people and communities that have fought against this epidemic of white supremacy. So long as the injustices encountered in different forms continue to exist, these trails and traces will continue to exist, as will this piece. The series is limited to 50 pieces, and the number engraved on the back shows your piece number. Each piece is handmade, and no two are exactly alike.
