Parasite of the Subjective V1

In this series of artworks titled ‘Parasite of the Subjective,’ various types of squares, representing TV screens, explore the concept of squareness from their own limited perspective. While the media often imposes the illusion of a singular, unchanging reality, these artworks reveal that values presented as truth are always and only subjective. In other words, ‘Parasite of the Subjective’ draws a curtain over us with its own version of the truth. Building on the concepts of uncertainty and light, I employed a distinctive technique to investigate how the idea of the square can be complex, ambiguous, and overlapping, with boundaries that are similar yet distinct. As the light beams shift, elements of uncertainty transform into another reality through the interplay of these so-called squares.
